Jon
Kuypers, Camp Director Jon
has been involved in YMCA Camping
since his
first 4 weeks at YMCA Camp Echo as an 8 year old, and has spent over 20
years attending and working at camps. He previously worked
in various roles at Camp Echo and Camp Hi-Rock, and has been the
director of Camp Abnaki since 2003.
Jon met his wife Tammy while studying
education at the University of Vermont. Jon and Tammy have 3
sons--Jake, Will, and Peter. The family lives in Burlington during
the school year and up at camp in the summer.

Jeremy Plane, Assistant Camp Director
Jeremy has worked at Camp Abnaki for over 10
years in various capacities. His first camp experience was as an 8
year old at a day camp in Davis, California. He regrets not
attending resident camp as a youth.
Jeremy studied Elementary Education at the
University of Vermont. His passions include Frisbee golf, reading,
and spending time with friends.

Rhet Amos, Property Manager
Rhet began his camping career in 1995. He came
to Camp Abnaki in 2002,
becoming the Assistant Director from 2003-2006 before taking over as
Property Manager in 2007. Rhet has previously worked at camps all
over Australia, for Outward Bound in Singapore, and other camps in
Ontario,
Mississippi and Massachusetts.
Rhet is originally from Cairns, Australia.
He enjoys fishing, and is an active member of the Burlington men's rugby
team. He also serves as an assistant coach to a couple of local
college rugby sides.

David Dustin, Program Director David
first attended Camp Abnaki in 1996. David has come through the
ranks at camp as a CIT, Counselor, and Village Director, becoming the
Program Director in 2008.
Originally from Keene, New Hampshire, David
graduated from Champlain College in 2009 with a degree in Secondary
Education. David enjoys dodgeball, Star Trek, and spending time
with his family.
